Well hello there! I’m thequotorium, and I’m passionate about writing and animation, so this blog is a little space for me to get some thoughts out. I started this blog in 2015 to write a post on how Death Note’s second half isn’t bad and it’s surprisingly kept going since then. Blogging is such a fun way to connect with people and get thoughts out!
On this blog, you’ll find a good mix of reflections, reviews, and longer essays on anime, animation, and fans as I find interesting bits and pieces to talk about. Things tend to get analytical over here, so I hope that’s your cup of tea!
I’m currently working on an MA in Film Studies with a thesis project on anime, so as you can imagine, I have a lot of thoughts about animation, what it’s capable of, and how I as a fan and academic fit into all of that. My goal is to bring critical thinking and fandom together in my posts, so I hope that in reading what I have here, you learn a lot!
You can visit my Year of Anime page to see my ongoing anime-watching project and how far behind I usually am 😉
